Meetings
The Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) meets quarterly, generally January, April, July, and October on the last Wednesday of the month. Meeting locations alternate between Converse County Courthouse meeting room, and the Glenrock Town Hall at 1 p.m.
Committee Members
The committee consists of members appointed by the Wyoming State Emergency Response Commission, and should include representatives from the following groups or organizations:
- Broadcast and Print Media
- Civil Defense
- Community Groups
- Elected State and Local Officials
- Fire Fighting
- First Aid
- Health
- Hospital Personnel
- Law Enforcement
- Local Environmental
- Owners and Operators of Facilities Subject to the Requirements of Sara Title II
- Transportation Personnel
About
Converse County Emergency Planning Committee, hereinafter referred to as the "Committee", is a state entity created pursuant to SARA Title II, the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act of 1986. The Wyoming State Emergency Response Commission has appointed the Committee membership. The primary purpose of the Committee is to implement SARA Title II in Wyoming. Its broader purpose is to enhance environmental protection and public health and safety, as these are affected by hazards in Converse County.
