Converse County has approved a supplemental property tax refund program that runs alongside the State Program.
The requirements will be the same:
You own your home
You paid your 2022 taxes in full and in a timely manner
You have been a Wyoming resident for the last 5 years
You occupied the residence for not less than 9 months of the tax year
You have less then $150,000 in assets (with certain exemptions)
Your household income is less than $94,613
If approved for both programs, the maximum allowed refund can not exceed your total property tax amount. If you are approved for the State program, you will be approved for the County Program, if you file in a timely manner.
The distraint sale for mobile homes will be held at the courthouse at 9:00 am on Wednesday, June 14th, 2023. View a list of the mobile homes, with pictures, at the link below.
With the Winter weather causing travel issues all across the state of Wyoming, the Converse County Treasurer's Office would like to clarify how the Glenrock Office is determined to be open or closed.
The National Weather Service issues a 'Travel impact' with color coded roads on wyoroad.info. Orange or red roads are high impact and closed. If WyoRoads lists an orange or red road at 7:00am on a Tuesday or Thursday, the Glenrock Office will be closed. If the Glenrock Office is open and a storm or road closure is headed to the area, the office will close early.
If there is a high impact advisory due to wind only, without any other hazards, the Glenrock office will be open.
This ensures that our workers are safe both traveling to Glenrock and back to Douglas and lets our customers know what to expect when the weather creates dangerous situations. Updates will be posted on our Facebook page.
