The Board of County Commissioners will consider a Petition to Vacate a Portion of Poison Lake Road/County Road 4 (CR4), located in Converse County, Wyoming, described as follows:
A 60-foot wide strip of land designated as an access easement located in a Portion of Section 12, T.30N., R.73W., Portion of Sections 1 & 12, T.30N., R.72 1/2W., Portion of the SW1/4, Section 6, T.30N., R.72W. Converse County, Wyoming, being 30 feet on each side of the following described center line: Commencing at the north 1/4 corner of said Section 6, as calculated from record;
Thence S0°04'20"W, a distance of 2540.92 feet to the Point of Beginning, being on the centerline of the existing Poison Lake Road as described in the public records as CR4 and declared in Commission Journal #4, pg. 347 Jan. 2, 1923 and Commission Journal #5, pg. 222 Oct. 7, 1931, and dedicated in Resolution 11-84 on Aug. 11, 1984, located on the north line of the NE1/4SW1/4 (Lot 22), of said Section 6 and the northern property line of the Wagonhound Land & Livestock parcel as currently recorded;
Thence S48°05'00"W, coincident with said CR4, a distance of 4755.36 feet; Thence S63°50'00"W, coincident with said CR4, a distance of 1502.56 feet; Thence S67°00'00"W, coincident with said CR4, a distance of 623.80 feet; Thence S43°48'00"W, coincident with said CR4, a distance of 430.03 feet; Thence S37°31'00"W, coincident with said CR4, a distance of 214.83 feet; Thence S6°59'00"W, coincident with said CR4, a distance of 1074.22 feet; Thence S23°30'00"W, coincident with said CR4, a distance of 282.18 feet; Thence S21°46'00"W, coincident with said CR4, a distance of 151.62 feet;
Thence S45°52'00"W, coincident with said CR4, a distance of 399.38 feet to the Point of Termination, located at the end of the said CR4 and still being located in and surrounded by Wagonhound Land & Livestock property as currently recorded.
The above-described parcel contains approximately 12.99 acres (566,039.01 s.f.), more or less, and is subject to all rights-of-way and/or easements, reservations and encroachments which have been legally acquired. All objections thereto or claims for damages by reason thereof must be filed in writing with the Converse County Clerk by 12:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29, 2023, or such road may be vacated without reference to such objections or claims for damages. All interested parties are invited attend the public hearing scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 4th, 2023, in the Commissioners Chambers, Converse County Courthouse, 107 North 5th St., Douglas, Wyoming.
