NOTICE OF PULBIC HEARING FOR THE REVISIONS TO RULES & REGULATIONS PERTAINING TO DOGS AND CATS WITHIN CONVERSE COUNTY, WYOMIING

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. by the Board of Converse County Commissioners in Commission Chambers, Converse County Courthouse, 107 N. 5th Street, Douglas, Wyoming, to consider public comments regarding Resolution 17-23, Revisions to the Rules & Regulations for the Control of Dogs and Cats Within the Unincorporated Areas of Converse County, Wyoming.  Pursuant to W.S. 11-31-301(b), it is a public nuisance for one or more specified animals to be running at large in unincorporated areas; a fine shall be imposed on the owner of such animal and restitution for any damages to person or property caused by the animal shall be made by the owner; and dogs or other animals, whose ownership cannot be determined, may be destroyed.
